Project Background

Envision Group is a world-leading Greentech company based in China. With the mission of ‘solving the challenges for a sustainable future, Envision designs, sells, and operates smart wind turbines through Envision Energy. In May 2022, Envision Energy completed a wind feasibility meteorological tower on a private basis in the next two to three years at four locations in Bangladesh. One of those locations is Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Project Description

To measure the wind potential of the site a 120-meter MET tower was built in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, and various sensors were fitted at different heights of the tower to measure the wind resources. After measurement for a 12 months period, a wind model of the site will be made with specialized software by analyzing the collected data. The wind model will determine the feasibility of installing wind turbines at that site and their profitability.
